PRECISION GRINDING & FINISHING SERVICES

When your parts require tight tolerances and superior surface finishes, you need a process that delivers. Our grinding and finishing services are built to achieve precise dimensions and high-quality finishes for critical applications.

GRINDING SERVICES

GRINDING & FINISHING CAPABILITIES

TT Machining’s grinding and finishing services focus on producing accurate, consistent parts. Using surface, cylindrical, internal, and rotary grinding processes, we’re able to bring components into exact specification while improving overall surface quality and performance.

Whether finishing a newly machined part or correcting a component that’s out of tolerance, our grinding department is equipped to handle everything from small precision work to larger components requiring flatness, roundness, or dimensional accuracy. With multiple surface grinders, a Blanchard rotary grinder, and cylindrical OD/ID grinding capabilities, we deliver high-quality results for demanding industrial applications.

WHAT WE CAN DO

Surface Grinding

For achieving flat, parallel surfaces with tight dimensional control and smooth finishes

Cylindrical (OD) Grinding

For precision grinding of external diameters to ensure roundness, accuracy, and proper fit

Internal (ID) Grinding

For finishing internal bores and diameters where tight tolerances and surface quality are critical

Rotary (Blanchard) Grinding

For efficient grinding of larger parts and multiple components with consistent flatness and finish

Tolerance Correction & Finishing

For bringing parts back into spec and refining dimensions after machining or wear

Surface Finish Improvement

For improving part performance by refining rough surfaces and preparing components for final use

FAQs

COMMON QUESTIONS, STRAIGHT ANSWERS

Get the details you need to move forward with confidence about our capabilities, turnaround times, and process.

Our machining centers accommodate parts up to [your actual capacity, like “30” × 16” × 20”]. We can also machine features down to .020” diameter holes and #0-80 threads. Very small features do increase costs due to tooling and cycle time. If your project exceeds our normal capacities or has highly specialized requirements, we’ll let you know the best path forward.

Absolutely. Whether it’s one prototype part or a full production run, we’ll quote it. We work with projects of all sizes.

Sure. Give us the basics (material, approximate size, quantity, general features) and we can provide a ballpark estimate. Once you have formal drawings, we’ll give you a firm quote.

Yes, we do reverse engineering regularly. Send us the sample, we’ll measure and create a drawing for your approval, then provide a quote.

Either works. We can handle packaging and shipping, or you’re welcome to arrange your own freight pickup. Whatever is easiest for you.

We typically source and supply material as part of the quote, which simplifies the process for most customers. If you prefer to supply your own material, we can accommodate that as well.

Yes, we’re always open to new work. Give us a call and we’ll let you know our current lead times. It varies depending on what’s in the queue.

Absolutely. If we spot manufacturability concerns, tolerance conflicts, or design issues, we’ll contact you before we start production. No sense making expensive scrap.

Contact us immediately. If we made an error, we’ll remake the parts at no charge. If there’s a discrepancy in drawing interpretation, we’ll discuss the situation and determine the best path forward. Our goal is to make it right.
